A Violin by Albert F. Moglie

Rome, 1924

Albert Moglie was a famous Italian maker, born at Rome in 1890. He established his own workshop in Washington, D.C, in the mid 1920′s after working for Wurlitzer in Cincinnati and New York as a restorer of rare instruments. Here is a real Italian maker who captured the thick, viscous and syrupy sound so favored by fiddlers everywhere.
The crackle of the oil varnish only adds to its dramatic appeal. This fiddle would sell for five thousand dollars in the classical market but Mo has especially selected it for her special fiddlin’ friends!
